UK Student visa from India — requirements and process

Indian students use the standard UK Student visa (Student Route), and two points matter most from India. First, because India is on the UKVI tuberculosis-testing list, you must take a TB test at a UKVI-approved clinic and include the certificate with your application. Second, your financial evidence can sit in an Indian bank account in rupees — that is completely fine — but it must still meet every rule: the right total (unpaid first-year tuition plus living costs), held for a continuous 28-day period, with the closing balance dated no more than 31 days before you apply.
